At the CII Annual Business Summit 2026 in New Delhi, Amit Kalyani, Vice Chairman & Joint Managing Director of Bharat Forge Ltd. and Chair of the CII Defence Steering Committee for Coordination with SIDM, shared insights on the opportunities and challenges shaping the global manufacturing and trade landscape.

In his remarks, he highlighted India’s strong position in an increasingly dynamic global environment, emphasizing the country’s manufacturing capabilities, skilled workforce, and growing focus on self-reliance. He underscored the potential for India to transform global challenges into long-term opportunities by strengthening domestic capabilities while continuing to serve international markets.

The summit brought together leaders from government and industry to discuss the future of economic growth, manufacturing competitiveness, and industrial development. Among the distinguished participants were Shri Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce & Industry, Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh, Defence Secretary, Ministry of Defence, and Rajiv Memani, President of CII.
