Bharat Forge has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Andhra Pradesh to establish India’s first private-sector Marine Gas Turbine facility in Visakhapatnam. This strategic investment marks an important milestone in strengthening India’s indigenous defence manufacturing capabilities and supporting the nation’s vision of self-reliance.

The facility will focus on the repair, overhaul, development, and future manufacturing of advanced marine gas turbine systems, primarily serving the requirements of the Indian Navy while also creating opportunities for broader power generation applications.

As Bharat Forge continues to expand its position as a global aerospace and defence manufacturing partner, the project highlights the company’s expertise in advanced engineering, precision manufacturing, and mission-critical technologies. It also reinforces Bharat Forge’s commitment to developing domestic capabilities and contributing to a resilient and self-sufficient defence ecosystem.

Beyond its technological significance, the investment is expected to support the growth of the regional aerospace and defence sector, create skilled employment opportunities, and strengthen India’s long-term industrial and strategic capabilities.

This initiative represents another important step in advancing innovation, enhancing national preparedness, and supporting the country’s journey towards a stronger and more self-reliant future.
